Design of a Fluidized Bed Test Rig for the Investigation of Metal-Fuel Cycles

2025/01/27

The Institute of Energy Systems and Technology has advertised a Master's thesis on Clean Circles and iron as a renewable energy source.

As part of an ADP, a new fluidized bed test stand is being developed to investigate metal-fuel cycles. The test rig is intended to advance innovative research in the field of sustainable chemical energy storage. The aim is to define the operating parameters based on a literature review, create a process flow diagram and design the fluidized bed and relevant components. In addition, a CAD model will be created, technical drawings produced and a cost estimate carried out.
