Conflicts are part of everyday working life - especially in interdisciplinary and international research projects. But instead of fearing or avoiding conflicts, we can learn to use them as an opportunity for further development. In our interactive workshop, you will learn how to identify conflicts at an early stage, address them constructively and thus improve not only your own behavior, but also the collaboration in your team.

Further information

Why should you take part?
Conflicts often arise from misunderstandings, cultural differences or structural circumstances. In this workshop, we will sensitize you to the importance of communication and language and show you how different research cultures and unconscious conflict factors influence collaboration. You will learn how you can take preventative action so that differences lose their potential for conflict and instead become an enrichment for your work.

What can you expect in the workshop?

  • Discover your own communication and conflict behavior.
  • Learn strategies for dealing productively with difficult situations.
  • Learn how to address conflicts at an early stage and resolve them constructively.
  • Practical exercises in small groups and a lively exchange in plenary sessions.
  • Reflection and transfer of the content learned to your own day-to-day research.

The workshop creates a safe space for self-reflection and promotes the development of skills that will improve your collaboration in the long term. In this way, you can turn conflict into an opportunity - for your personal development and for a harmonious, productive working atmosphere in your team.

The workshop is held in English.
