Decentralised Gender Equality Officer Duties
Personnel and administrative bodies
- Advisory member on the Departmental Council
- Advisory member in the Professorial Appointments Committees
- Advisory participation in hiring procedures
- Contact person for female employees and staff
Strategic development planning
- Development and coordination of a gender equality concept
Promotion of gender equality in the respective departments
- Planning and implementation e.g. workshops on gender awareness and advancement of women
- Planning and implementation of networking events
- Measures to attract female students to the degree programmes and respective training opportunities
Budget
- Participation in the awards committee for women’s advancement funds for the respective department
Election and work regulations
- Election by the women’s plenary of the respective area for two years
- Appointment by the Dean of the respective department
- Ideally, female employees and staff from various status groups (one or more deputies will be elected)
- Activities are carried out during working hours (release from official duties without reduction of earnings, to the extent that is necessary for the execution of their tasks; the appropriate reassignment of tasks will be decided on within the department)
- Certificate signed by the President of the TU and the central Gender Equality Officer attesting to voluntary activities as decentralised Gender Equality Officer
Meetings of Decentralised Gender Equality Officers
- Regularly scheduled meetings with the Gender Equality Officers from other fields and the central Gender Equality Officer
- Information about current measures and projects
- Discussions about current individual cases and matters concerning University policy
- When necessary, the formation of working groups for certain topics
- Exchange of information and ideas with experts
- Opportunities for further training
