We don't plan the future, we make it
Interdisciplinarity does not begin where the comfort zone of individual disciplines ends. It expands the personal comfort zone and goes beyond the boundaries of individual disciplines. It allows a new perspective on the familiar, creates more leeway and leads to surprising solutions. It allows us to see the past in a new light. And it opens up perspectives for the pressing problems and tasks of our time.
Theo Jansen's Strandbeesten symbolise dynamism, complexity and structural versatility, which are a fitting symbol for our programme. We would like to take this opportunity to expressively thank the artist Theo Jansen for providing us with images of his kinetic sculptures free of charge!
