The admission to the Kunstforum der TU Darmstadt is basically free. The exhibition houses of our partners can charge admission fees.

Directions Old Main

The Kunstorum der TU Darmstadt is located on the 2nd floor of the old main building (Altes Hauptgebäude) of the TU Darmstadt (S1|03, Room 200) at Hochschulstraße 1.

From Darmstadt Hauptbahnhof (main railway station) take tram lines 3 or 5, from railway station Darmstadt-Nord take tram lines 6, 7, or 8. Get off at Willy-Brandt-Platz. Walk along Bismarckstraße and Herrngarten in the east to Hochschulstraße 1.

From railway station Darmstadt-Ost take lines RH, M01, NH, 671, 672, 673, 674, 677, X71, X78, X74, 693, from railway station Darmstadt-South with line H. Get off at Schloß. Then follow the description “Foot and bike” (see below) to Hochschulstraße 1.

Furthermore, the Kunstforum der TU Darmstadt can also be reached by lines F, H and KU via stop Alexanderstraße / TU. From this point, follow the street Magdalenenstraße in the north to Kantplatz, turn left and follow the street Hochschulstraße to the portal of the Old Main (Altes Hauptgebäude).

From castle along the street Schlossgraben, past the Darmstadtium, karo 5, and Welcome Hotel on the Hochschulstraße and follow the course to the main entrance of the Old Main (Altes Hauptgebäude, Hochschulstraße 1).

From Wiesbaden, Mainz, Mannheim, or Ludwigshafen from the A67, coming from Frankfurt or Heidelberg from the A5, take the Darmstädter Kreuz towards Darmstadt Zentrum (A672). Continue on the B26 (Citytunnel cross, then towards TU city center / Darmstadtium). Coming from Aschaffenburg follow the B26 to Darmstadt in the amount of TU city center / Darmstadtium.

In the immediate vicinity are the multi-storey car parks Schlossgaragen, Darmstadtium and the car park of the math faculty of the TU Darmstadt as well as additional parking lots.

The Kunstforum der TU Darmstadt is accessible via the elevator in the eastern inner courtyard of the Old Main (at the rear of the building, right-hand passage).
