Free admission

The admission to the Kunstforum of the TU Darmstadt is basically free. The exhibition houses of our partners can charge admission fees.

Directions Old Main

The Kunstorum of the TU Darmstadt is located on the 2nd floor of the old main building (Altes Hauptgebäude) of the TU Darmstadt (S1|03, Room 200) at Hochschulstraße 1.

From Darmstadt Hauptbahnhof (main railway station) take tram lines 3 or 5, from railway station Darmstadt-Nord take tram lines 6, 7, or 8. Get off at Willy-Brandt-Platz. Walk along Bismarckstraße and Herrngarten in the east to Hochschulstraße 1.

From railway station Darmstadt-Ost take lines RH, M01, NH, 671, 672, 673, 674, 677, X71, X78, X74, 693, from railway station Darmstadt-South with line H. Get off at Schloß. Then follow the description “Foot and bike” (see below) to Hochschulstraße 1.

Furthermore, the Kunstforum of the TU Darmstadt can also be reached by lines F, H and KU via stop Alexanderstraße / TU. From this point, follow the street Magdalenenstraße in the north to Kantplatz, turn left and follow the street Hochschulstraße to the portal of the old main building (Altes Hauptgebäude).

From castle along the street Schlossgraben, past the Darmstadtium, karo 5, and Welcome Hotel on the Hochschulstraße and follow the course to the main entrance of the old main building (Altes Hauptgebäude, Hochschulstraße 1).

From Wiesbaden, Mainz, Mannheim, or Ludwigshafen from the A67, coming from Frankfurt or Heidelberg from the A5, take the Darmstädter Kreuz towards Darmstadt Zentrum (A672). Continue on the B26 (Citytunnel cross, then towards TU city center / Darmstadtium). Coming from Aschaffenburg follow the B26 to Darmstadt in the amount of TU city center / Darmstadtium.

In the immediate vicinity are the multi-storey car parks Schlossgaragen, Darmstadtium and the car park of the math faculty of the TU Darmstadt as well as additional parking lots.

Directions Konsum Mathildenhöhe

Konsum Mathildenhöhe is located at Pützerstraße 6, 64287 Darmstadt. An overview of all the locations in the HOME SWEET HOME exhibition is available here.

Coming from the main station or the city center, take the KU bus to the Pützerstraße stop. On the opposite side you will find Konsum in Pützerstraße 6. Alternatively, you can take bus lines H or F to the Alexanderstraße / TU stop. From there, continue in an easterly direction on foot to the intersection Alexanderstraße / Dieburger Straße / Pützerstraße and turn right and follow the street to Pützerstraße 6 on the left side of the street.

On foot or by bike from the castle via the traffic lights Schloßgraben / Landgraf-Georg-Straße and follow the street am Schloßgraben in a northerly direction to the Erich-Ollenhauer-Promenade in front of the darmstadtium. Follow the course to Pützerstraße. The Mathildenhöhe store is on the right-hand side in the single dormitory (Pützerstraße 6.

Coming from Wiesbaden, Mainz, Mannheim or Ludwigshafen on the A67, from Frankfurt or Heidelberg on the A5, turn off at the Darmstädter Kreuz in the direction of Darmstadt Zentrum (A672). Continue on the B26 (cross the city tunnel, then in the direction of TU Innenstadt / Darmstadtium). Turn right onto Alexanderstraße and follow the road to the intersection Alexanderstraße / Dieburger Straße / Pützerstraße and turn right. Konsum Mathildenhöhe is on the left side of the street (Pützerstraße 6).

Coming from Aschaffenburg follow Dieburger Strasse to Darmstadt and turn left at Alexanderstrasse / Dieburger Strasse / Pützerstrasse. Konsum Mathildenhöhe is on the left side of the street (Pützerstraße 6).

The Kunstforum of the TU Darmstadt is accessible via an elevator with access through the inner courtyard of the old main building.

In the exhibition rooms may be photographed for private purposes. For non-private photo and film shootings, feel free to contact us.

The Kunstforum of the TU Darmstadt does not have its own wardrobe During larger events clothes racks are set up. Use at your own risk. The Kunstforum of the TU Darmstadt assumes no liability.

Ladies and men's toilets are located on the same floor level as well as on the other floors. Furthermore, barrier-free toilets are available both on the second floor and on the ground floor.
