Prize of the Odenwald-Akademie

Every two years, the Odenwald-Akademie awards a master's thesis with € 3,000.

The Förderverein Odenwald-Akademie donates a prize of 3,000 euros to promote research and teaching at TU Darmstadt for students with outstanding achievements in innovative fields (especially energy, IT and mobility).

The Odenwald-Akademie Award has been given every two years since 2013 and is intended to honor a master's thesis that has a connection to the Odenwald district (e.g., has worked on a topic related to the Odenwald district) or has been submitted by applicants who come from or live in this region.

The focus is “Rethinking the countryside”, which places the Odenwaldkreis as a rural region in the spotlight. Accordingly, works that contribute to new ideas and projects for the promotion and development of rural regions such as the Odenwaldkreis are also of interest.

An award committee decides who receives the Odenwald Academy Prize. The committe consists of a representative of the Odenwald Academy and two scientists associated with TU Darmstadt.

The award is presented in late summer/autumn at an event in the Odenwald district, and the winner will have the opportunity to present their award-winning work to the public.

All professors are invited to take part in the call for applications:
