Deutschlandstipendium promotes particularly talented and committed students and supports the excellent education of future specialists and managers this way. Students receive 300 euros per month: Half of the monthly grant comes from the federal government and the other half from companies, foundations and private sponsors.

The DAAD Prize is awarded annually to international students at TU Darmstadt in recognition of their outstanding academic achievements and exceptional commitment.

International students can apply for the Merit-based Graduation Scholarship when they are in the final stages of their studies. Application is possible twice a year.

The International Student Services Unit at the Directorate of International Affairs awards scholarships for more equal opportunities within the framework of the DAAD programme STIBET I framework. These scholarships are aimed at international students who have financial difficulties and need to overcome special challenges during their studies.

Prof.-Sorin-Huss-Fonds supports students and doctoral candidates of TU Darmstadt in financing childcare. The funding is intended to help relieve the burden on parents studying or doing a doctorate, especially in financially critical situations. Preference considered are single parents, students with more than one child, international students and students and doctoral candidates in the final phase.

The purpose of the foundation is to promote young scientists in STEM subjects, with a special focus on cooperation at the interfaces of the traditional subjects. In this respect, the foundation attaches great importance to bringing together scholarship holders from different disciplines and supporting them in their professional as well as interdisciplinary exchange.

Support association for students in need of TU Darmstadt was founded in 1992. It provides financial support in cases of emergency and special hardship. The members of the association work purely on a voluntary basis and with money from private donations, the student body and TU Darmstadt. All enrolled students from the third semester and doctoral students of the TU Darmstadt are entitled to apply for one-time financial support. The board of directors of the association assesses the eligibility for support according to detailed allocation guidelines. Each application is reviewed individually. There are no deadlines and applications can be submitted at any time.

The Association of Friends of TU Darmstadt awards prizes to the best bachelor's and master's theses from the departments each year.

The Hamburg-based E.W. Kuhlmann Foundation is strongly committed financially to TU Darmstadt – among other things with 20 “Deutschlandstipendien”. It also grants interest-free loans so that students can successfully complete their studies.
