Invited Speakers are Catherine Picart, CEA Grenoble „Bioactive Medical Devices for Bone Regeneration“ and Cláudio Franco, Universidade de Lisboa „How to build an efficient network of vessels“.

Catherine Picart, CEA Grenoble

„Bioactive Medical Devices for Bone Regeneration“

Catherine Picart is vice-head of the Department of Health at the Interdisciplinary Research Institute of Grenoble (IRIG) within CEA's Fundamental Research Division. She is leading the Biomimetism and Regenerative Medicine (BRM) lab. The lab focuses on the engineering of biomaterials to control cell growth and differentiation and the regeneration of bone tissue in vivo, as well as experimental biophysical models of cell/matrix interactions.

Cláudio Franco, Universidade de Lisboa

„How to build an efficient network of vessels“

Cláudio Franco heads the Vascular Morphogenesis Lab at ULisboa's Instituto de Medicina Molecular (iMM). The group aims at understanding the molecular mechanisms regulating coordinated endothelial cell behaviour during sprouting and remodelling phases of the angiogenic process.

The Minisymposium will be an in person event at the Campus Botanical Garden, B2/61, Room 102 or via Zoom. For the Zoom link please contact:
