NFDI: National research data infrastructure

The NFDI (National research data infrastructure, in German "Nationale Forschungsdateninfrastruktur") is a long term project funded by the federal government and the German states. It coordinates the development of research data infrastructures and services as well as research data management standardization in Germany.

The NFDI consortia

A network of discipline or method-specific consortia forms the core of the NFDI e.V. A total of 26 funded consortia build the national infrastructure supported by the NFDI office in Karlsruhe. The overarching goal is to provide all reasearchers in Germany with the necessary infrastructure and standards in order to provide FAIR research data. More information on the consortia and other bodies and tasks of the NFDI can be found on the NFDI website.

NFDI at TU Darmstadt

Researchers and Institutes of TU Darmstadt are active in some consortia as co-applicant or participant and thus contribute to building the NFDI.
