Finding the right partner

Seed Fund virtual matchmaking event

2024/03/18

103 participants from all 9 universities met to present their ideas for Seed Fund projects and look for the right partner to submit their proposals.

The participants were divided in 48 breakout sessions where they had the opportunity to find the right partner for their project and start working together immediately.

The Unite! Seed Fund aims to maximise the potential of Unite! by providing financial support to innovative, co-creative and collaborative ideas from teachers, researchers and students within the Unite! alliance. The Seed Fund is designed to support the exploration and development of attractive and diverse activities and projects, either to secure the additional funding for a project or to enable collaboration on shared, ambitious and innovative ideas within the Alliance.

“In the Unite! community, there is typically no lack of great ideas for collaborative teaching, research, and student activities. However, finding partners from other universities often poses a challenge. Our matchmaking event helped overcome this obstacle, making the Unite! Seed Fund Initiative more easily accessible to potential applicants.”

Konrad Löbcke, Unite! Secretariat, Research & Innovation Advisor

Based on the feedback provided during the meeting, it appears that around one third of the project ideas presented (i.e. around 15) will be developed into fully-fledged Seed Fund applications.
