EU Window Chinese Government Scholarship (2025/26)

The EU Window Chinese Government Scholarship is a scholarship provided by the Chinese Ministry of Education to promote student mobility between the EU and China.
The scholarship is offered for Bachelor, Master, exchange students and PhD students. It covers tuition fees, accommodation, health insurance and a monthly income. In addition to the main course of study, Chinese language courses (preparatory studies) are also funded.
The following requirements must be met in order to apply:
- You must be a citizen of an EU country and be in good mental and physical health.
- You must have a high school diploma and be under 25 years of age if you are applying for a Bachelor's degree program;
- You must have a Bachelor's degree and be under 35 years of age if you are applying for a Master's degree program;
- if you are applying for a doctoral program, you must have a Master's degree and be under 40 years of age;
- for applications for general scholarship programs, you must be (at least) a high school graduate and not older than 45 years old;
- for applications for senior scholarship programs, you must have a master's degree or a doctorate (or higher) and not be older than 50 years old.
- You must demonstrate HSK level 3 Chinese language proficiency if you are applying to a Chinese language undergraduate or general scholarship program (Chinese language courses are exempt);
- have HSK level 3 Chinese language proficiency if applying for a Chinese language senior scholarship program;
- have acquired HSK level 4 Chinese language proficiency when applying for Chinese-language Master's or doctoral programs;
- fulfill the admission requirements of the applied universities in terms of academic ability, language proficiency and other relevant criteria.
