Research internships for bachelor's students in Canada 2026

Are you studying natural sciences, life sciences, or engineering and looking for a research internship abroad? The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Canadian organization Mitacs are offering research internships with scholarships in Canada as part of the RISE Worldwide program.

Who

This opportunity is open to bachelor's and state examination students at TU Darmstadt in the fields of natural sciences, engineering, psychology, and computer science. (Unfortunately, master's students are not eligible to apply.) You must be enrolled as a full-time, degree-seeking student at TU Darmstadt.

What

You can apply for research internships at universities and research institutions in Canada in the summer of 2026. The stays last 10-12 weeks and can start between May and July 2026. Participants will receive a residence grant, a travel allowance, and health, accident, and liability insurance for the duration of their stay.
