TU Darmstadt’s InnovationScouts support researchers in identifying, assessing, and further developing the innovation potential of their scientific work at an early stage, with a view toward practical application.

As an interdisciplinary team, they provide guidance on all aspects of innovation and knowledge transfer, funding opportunities, and relevant networks. They also offer individual consultations, workshops, and lab meetups to provide tailored advice and targeted support for research projects.

HIGHEST

For nearly 20 years, our university’s own Innovation and Start-up Centre —and the leading tech incubator in the Rhine-Main region—has supported more than 200 startups on their path to founding.

Its services range from information and awareness-building initiatives to personalized consulting by experienced internal and external experts, as well as support with funding applications and access to office space, laboratories, and professional networks. Researchers and students can further develop ideas originating from their research or studies, regardless of the maturity of the idea or whether the ultimate goal is a spin-off venture or another form of knowledge and technology transfer.
