Female Student Travel Award 2024
With the Female Student Travel Award, the collaborative research centers and CROSSING, the MAKI, the research training group Privacy & Trust, and the LOEWE center emergenCITY recognize exceptionally well performances of female students in computer science, electrical engineering, information technology, artificial intelligence, and related disciplines. The ten award winners can attend one of the following conferences, which are focused on connecting female computer science and engineering researchers, to take advantage of the excellent networking opportunities during these events. - Travel to and attend a conference: We will cover your travel expenses to one of the listed conferences, including train or plane tickets, accommodation, entrance fees, etc., in accordance with the travel expense guidelines of TU Darmstadt.

- a letter of motivation
- your CV
- your personal performance summary (e.g., TUCaN-Leistungsspiegel)
- a description of your connection to and/or interest in the field of research of MAKI, CROSSING, the RTG Privacy & Trust, emergenCITY, or the Zuse School ELIZA
- Optionally, you can indicate in your application which conference you would like to attend. You are completely free to choose from the listed conferences. The choice has no influence on the selection of the winners.
For the two stipends offered by the Zuse School ELIZA, students of all our ELIZA partner universities can apply, i.e., female students of TU Berlin, FU Berlin, TU Darmstadt, Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg, Universität Heidelberg, TU Munich, Saarland University, and University of Tübingen are eligible.

Notifications will be sent out by mid of June and the awards will be presented to the winners during the “Ruzena Bajcsy Lecture” on 3 July 2024 in Darmstadt.
