Questionnaire to the Research Fellow

My research interests include…

broad aspects of mathematical modelling of dynamic behavior of simple and complex mechanical systems on different scales. Current research is related to modelling of Micro/Nano Energy Harvesting devices in order to design of new class of Energy-Harvesters based on conversion of mechanical energy from different environmental conditions into the electrical energy utilizing the piezoelectric effect. The aim of this research is to improve self-powering capabilities of sensor or actuator devices and exclude energy storage components.

My greatest success in the previous research…

includes successful development of novel models of complex multiple micro/nanostructures based systems that accounts size effects and investigation of their dynamic behavior. Parts of this research were presented in the book “Non-Local Structural Mechanics” published by ISTE – Wiley.

I’ve chosen the TU Darmstadt because of…

TU Darmstadt is the one of the best Technical Universities in Europe with world leading researchers in different engineering fields. Also, my supervisor at TU Darmstadt, Professor Peter Hagedorn, is one of the most influenced and world-leading professors in the subject of nonlinear vibration and structural dynamics.
