PEERStart 2022
Who can participate? | Doctoral candidates of TU Darmstadt from all research disciplines – ideally in the beginning of the doctorate |
What is the aim? |
The goal is to network doctoral candidates across disciplinary boundaries and to establish peer groups that accompany and advise each other throughout the entire doctoral phase. |
What is offered? |
PEERStart offers the opportunity to get to know other doctoral candidates from different disciplines and to form peer groups. The participants receive training on the method of “peer group supervision” and can independently apply the knowledge they have acquired in their groups. In this way, doctoral candidates learn to advise each other on various topics related to the doctorate and thus experience the best possible guidance and support in their doctoral phase. (1) Admission to PEERStart After your registration (see below) you can participate in a training on peer group supervision and learn the method. Afterwards you decide if you want to become part of a peer group. (2) Learning the method “peer group supervision” The training on peer group supervision takes place on two half workshop days. You can choose between a German-speaking and an English-speaking workshop. On day 1, the methodological training is provided by an external trainer. On day 2 you can apply and try out the method in a group. Dates: German workshop:

(3) Peer group supervision After successful training, you will become part of a peer group and will be able to consult each other on your individual concerns in independently organised meetings. If needed, you will be supported by supervision. |
