Alumni Story

TU in her blood

For Kristina Sinemus, TU Darmstadt is part of her family history. Not only did the alumna earn her doctorate at the Technical University, but her father, uncles, and cousins also either studied, earned doctorates, or taught as professors in Darmstadt. Kristina Sinemus herself has had a successful and varied career: she has a doctorate in bioscience, is a founder and entrepreneur in the field of science communication, a professor of public affairs in Berlin, and a political newcomer in Wiesbaden. The then Minister President Volker Bouffier brought her into his government as an independent. Sinemus has been Hesse's Minister for Digitalization and Innovation since 2019.
