Fresher's Welcome 2025

Dear students,

welcome to TU Darmstadt! We are pleased that you have decided to study at TU Darmstadt and would like to cordially invite you to participate in the freshers' welcome on 8 October 2025 at 5:00 pm. This will take place as in the Audimax Lecture Hall, building S1I01 on campus Stadtmitte (City Centre). Find out about your study options at our Infomarket. Following the plenary session, university groups and central institutions at TU Darmstadt will present their offers.

  • Welcome and address by Prof. Dr Tanja Brühl, President of TU Darmstadt
  • Welcome and address by Prof. Dr Heribert Warzecha, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Diversity, with Dr Patrick Honecker, Chief Communication Officer
  • Welcome by City Councillor Ralf Arnemann on behalf of the Science City Darmstadt
  • “Campusvoices”
  • Presentation of the university networks Rhine-Main Universities (RMU) & Unite!
  • Address and introduction of the Students’ Union (Executive Committee) (“Allgemeiner Studierendenausschuss" / AStA)
5:45 pm until 8:00 pm Info market in the lounge and foyer at the karo 5 (building S|01)

Your start to the party evening – Warm-up Event of Student Affairs (“Studierendenwerk”) Darmstadt

Offer for you following the Fresher’s Welcome event

7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. – Warm-up (Studierendenwerk, Bistro Stadtmitte S1|11)

  • Music with DJ Anna Reinhard
  • Food: Tom Kha Gai (€2 | chicken or tofu)
  • Drink special: Braustü´bl with or without alcohol (€1)
