TU ID and Athena Card
What are the benefits of your TU ID and the Athena Card? Find out all about it here.
After having enrolled at TU Darmstadt, you should pick up your Athena Card and activate your TU ID as soon as possible.
With your TU ID, students of TU Darmstadt have access to a wide range of electronic services provided by the University Computer Centre HRZ (Hochschulrechenzentrum):
- personal email account
- free wireless LAN all over the campus
- access to computers and printers
- TUCaN (organisation of your studies)
- e-learning (will be explained in lectures, if available)
You can use these services after logging in to your personal account with your TU ID and a password.
In addition to the student identity card, every student at TU Darmstadt also has the Athena Card: you can load money onto it to pay for your meals in the canteen (Mensa) etc. It also serves as an ID for the university library.
Your TU ID and your Athena Card need to be activated before you can use them.
