Get your Athene Card
New students at TU Darmstadt

Did you know that in addition to your student card and semester ticket, students at TU Darmstadt can get the Athena Card?
To apply for your Athena Card, you need to upload a photo to the IDM portal using your TU-ID login information. There are some more instructions available on the HRZ website.
This card is personal to you and can be used for the following purposes:
- Borrow books and media from the libraries of TU Darmstadt
- Use the lockers in the ULB on the Stadtmitte Campus
- To make use of the ASTA CarSharing services
- As a payment function for services offered by Studierendenwerk
The last point is essential if you want to buy something from the one of the mensa and bistro locations across the city, since they only accept payment by Athena Card. So don’t forget to apply for the card once you arrive to Germany so that you can make use of the offer of good, cheap food!
