The Kunstforum der TU Darmstadt is always about a new, fresh look at current art and about surprising, interdisciplinary networking.
The Kunstforum der TU Darmstadt currently has its starting point in the exhibition hall in the Old Main from 1895 (Hochschulstraße 1). In addition, with extensive outdoor exhibitions, it also plays host to artistic activities in other locations in the city's outdoor space, such as Friedensplatz or Darmstadt Castle.
The Kunstforum offers a forum and is a forum. It sees itself as a place of encounter, of engagement with all facets of art from painting to installation, video, performance, music and dance.
The Technical University of Darmstadt is more than science, it sees itself as the center of the science city of Darmstadt and with its art forum also contributes to the aesthetic education of its students and employees as well as the urban society.
Athena is not only one of the most important goddesses of antiquity, her stylized head has been the official symbol of the TU Darmstadt since 1972. She is the patron goddess of the sciences – and of art!
