The Kunstforum der TU Darmstadt has served as a vibrant platform for dialogue between art, science, and society. It develops interdisciplinary exhibition and event formats in collaboration with partners from academia, the cultural sector, and other institutions, attracting attention far beyond the region.

Concept

Founded in 2016, the Kunstforum der TU Darmstadt exhibits in the central exhibition hall in the old main building of the Technische Universität Darmstadt as well as other locations in the city and on campus.

Since the beginning of 2016, the Kunstforum der TU Darmstadt has been managed by Julia Reichelt, who curates the exhibitions. Together with the employees, student employees, and volunteers, she curates, plans, and organizes the exhibition and event activities of the Kunstforum der TU Darmstadt.

Darmstadt Photography Days

Since 2005, the photo festival Darmstadt Photography Days (Darmstädter Tage der Fotografie) takes place in Darmstadt. Since 2019, the Darmstadt Photography Days are organized under the roof of the TU Darmstadt.

Darmstadt Bildet Banden

Numerous Darmstadt art and cultural institutions have joined forces and are defying the second lockdown under the motto “Darmstadt Bildet Banden”. After the start in December 2020 with a virtual advent calendar, the diversity of Darmstadt's culture is presented with new videos on each Bandenmittwoch.
