Darmstadt, 4. April 2024 Die Ausstellung im TU Kunstforum und im öffentlichen Raum Darmstadts würdigt erstmals in diesem Umfang das Schaffen der Journalistin und Fotografin Milli Bau (*1906 Darmstadt – †2005 ebd.). Ihre eindrucksvollen Fotografien, von denen etwa 800 in der Ausstellung zu sehen sind, bezeugen die mehr als 40 Reisen, die Bau ab 1948, später als Feuilleton-Publizistin der Hamburger »Welt«, unternommen hat. Sie sind ein Zeichen für Weltoffenheit und Kulturverständigung – und ein beeindruckendes Zeugnis einer emanzipierten, unerschrockenen und neugierigen Frau.
