Periodic events

Presidium members use various formats and routes to inform members of TU Darmstadt about current topics and developments and exchange ideas with them. In addition to online publications and news, for example, there are regular meetings with representatives of status groups and round-tables with the departmental chairpersons.

TU members can view reports on Senate sessions here on the homepage. Students can also exchange ideas with the presidents during the consultation hours.

The President regularly reports on selected topics in the Senate. They report on current relevant points from university affairs as well as, for example, from the German Rectors' Conference, the Conference of Hessian University Presidents or the TU9. They discuss strategic topics from higher education policy, education and research with the Senate.

Consultation hours for students

Like to talk about ideas, suggestions, praise and criticism with the president? Or discuss current higher education policy issues with them?

The President meets regularly with the General Students’ Committee (AStA) and the Departmental Students’ Representative Committee. They also offer a consultation hour for students for open dialogue.

This is held on a regular basis during lecture time in the entrance building of TU Darmstadt – in karo 5 – at the TUBar and requires no prior registration. It goes without saying that non-students are also welcome.

Of course, you can still obtain your own appointment with the President for confidential matters (we do, however, request advance registration and specification of the topic with ).
