The Executive Board of Technische Universität Darmstadt

An Executive Board, composed of a President and three male and two female Vice Presidents, governs the autonomous Technische Universität Darmstadt. In the strategic development of the university, the Executive Board consults closely with administrative bodies such as the University Council, the Senate, the University Assembly as well as the departments and members of the university; it reports annually to the parliament of the Bundesland Hessen.

President Professor Dr Hans Jürgen Prömel is responsible for the university’s strategy and structure, the appointment of new professors, quality management and international relations as well as for representing the university externally vis-à-vis policy-makers, society and other interested parties.
