TUCaN Account / Create user account

To apply, you will need a TUCaN account.

If you were or are already enrolled at the Technische Universität Darmstadt or are an employee/lecturer and have a TU-ID, please do not create another account but log in with your existing TU-ID and the corresponding password.If you have forgotten your TU-ID, the HRZ-Service will be happy to help you.

If you have forgotten the password of your TU-ID, you can usually reset your password yourself.

New at TU Darmstadt?

If you have not been or are not yet enrolled at TU Darmstadt and do not have a TU-ID, create a new user account for the application. To do so, follow the steps below:

Step 1:

In the TUCaN web portal, open the TUCaN Account menu.

Step 2:

Click Create Account in the left menu bar.

Step 3:

Insert your personal data into the form and click on Next in the upper right corner.

Step 4:

You will receive a system message as an email with a temporary password. This can take up to 3 hours if the system load is high.

Step 5:

Log in to TUCaN for the first time.

To do this, enter the e-mail address you specified when creating the user account in the TU ID field. In the Password field, enter the temporary password you received.

Step 6:

Finally, change your temporary password to a personal one and click Submit.

The next time you log in to TUCaN, use your personal password.
