Julia,
B.Sc. Business Administration/ Industrial Engineering – specialising in Mechanical Engineering
In my degree, the diversity of subjects is at the same time the biggest challenge AND the most interesting part about it. I learn a lot of different things from economics or maths to law. Sometimes it is a lot and I’m overwhelmed, but when I start to understand everything, the feeling is really good!
Profile
Nationality:
German & Brazilian
Study programme:
B.Sc. Business Administration / Industrial Engineering, specialising in Mechanical Engineering
Why I chose TU Darmstadt:
Because it is a very prestigious university and I’m still close to home, my family and friends.
What I like about Darmstadt:
That everything is close to each other, that there are trams, a “Hundertwasserhaus” that is well worth seeing and that there are many different and cool people around.
What are the challenges that I face in my studies:
In my degree, Business Administration/Industrial Engineering, is the challenge at the same time the interesting part about it, the diversity of subjects. I learn a lot of different things from economics or maths to law. Sometimes it is a lot and I’m overwhelmed, but when you understand the feeling is even better.
Fun fact about me:
I can’t stand it to hear music or TV with the volume set to an even number. That's why I always tune it to 11 or 13 for example.
My favourite motto:
No regrets
My favourite book:
Love Letters to the Dead, by Ava Dellaira
Three words that describe me:
open, relaxed, funny
What I would say to my younger self:
Have more fun and trust I yourself.
When you were a kid, who did you want to become? Are you on your way there now:
I never had this one dream job or a specifically goal. To be honest, not till today. The only thing I’ve always be sure is that I want to be happy and stay myself. I don’t know how or were yet, but I know that I will find my way. For now it’s feeling right to be here, so it will be.
