Study preparation and entry programmes
for international students

With our programmes we want to give you the opportunity to prepare for your studies at TU Darmstadt as well as supporting you with your entry into the university

With our offers, you get to know TU Darmstadt and the German academic system as well as improve your specialised German language skills. Additionally, you get an early introduction into studying and structured peer support when you start your studies. The joint activities will also help you to meet fellow students and find new friends in Darmstadt.

We are happy to help find the right study programme for you. On this page you will find an overview of all the programmes we offer. In addition to these programmes, TU Darmstadt offers a broad range of training opportunities in key competencies for successful studies.

PreCIS

With the PreCIS Programme, the TU Darmstadt supports international Bachelor Students with a successful start to their studies. The programme consists of a two-week PreCIS pre-course in September and a buddy programme as well as workshops which are taking place throughout the first semester.

PreBachelor

With PreBachelor, prospective international students can prepare for a degree in mathematics, computer science, sciences or engineering at TU Darmstadt. The programme takes place every summer semester and includes a technical language course, teaching of study skills and a preliminary course in mathematics.

The MasterPlus programme supports international Master’s students in certain study programmes in STEM fields with a structured introduction to their studies, technical language courses and a subject related as well as intercultural study support.

The Center for Educational Development and Technology (Hochschuldidaktische Arbeitsstelle – HDA) offers all students at TU Darmstadt opportunities to develop their personal, social and methodological competencies.
