Student ID Card
As a student of TU Darmstadt you'll receive a student ID card, which also functions as your semester ticket. With the timely transfer of your , the enrollment or re-registration takes place and you will receive your student ID card automatically by mail. semester fee
The student ID card is (re-)issued to all students each semester. Please make sure that your address is correct. You can review and update your address yourself.

Student ID as semester ticket
The student ID is only valid as a ticket in combination with a photo ID.
Under certain conditions, you may apply for reimbursement for the semester ticket at AStA. The deadlines for the online application, the application itself, and the exact conditions are found here.
The semester ticket is valid one month before the start of the semester (WiSe: 01.09./ SoSe: 01.03.)
