Professional Consultation for centralized and departmental services
The Anti-Discrimination Office serves as central unit, providing strategic and conceptual guidance to prevent, address, or eliminate discrimination.
It offers professional support to central units and the departments at TU Darmstadt in implementing measures to reduce risks of discrimination and/or address existing structural discrimination.
Collaboration between the Anti-Discrimination Office and the respective unit can remain confidential and may focus on specific incidents. It can also involve incorporating a critical perspective on discrimination into structural processes.
Protection against discrimination is a relatively new and complex cross-cutting issue with a legal foundation. It constitutes a task for the entire university, but one that has not yet been clearly defined or framed for most specific areas of work.
A key goal is therefore to provide concrete support in implementing measures to reduce discrimination and to promote professional confidence in handling such issues within departments and units.
Of course, the Anti-Discrimination Office is also available for informal, collegial exchanges on the topic of (anti-)discrimination.
