The Anti-Discrimination Officer and the Anti-Discrimination Office work to ensure that no individual within university life is subjected to antisemitic, racist, or anti-Muslim discrimination, or is discriminated based on gender or sexual identity, age, religious affiliation, chronic illness or disability, or social background. Our mission and mandate are to foster trustful collaboration and promote respectful interactions among all members of TU Darmstadt.
The Anti-Discrimination Office and the Diversity Education Office have been operating as a new staff unit since 1 January 2026. Further information about the new “Office for Anti-Discrimination and Diversity” will follow shortly. The websites are currently being revised.
The Anti-Discrimination Officer offers confidential consultation to all members of TU Darmstadt in cases of discrimination. Additionally, under the Hessian Act on Higher Education, the officer has a legal mandate to identify discrimination risks and advocate for their reduction.
The Anti-Discrimination Office serves central unit, providing strategic and conceptual guidance to prevent, address, and eliminate discrimination.
