Children's Lectures

University and State Library

The University and State Library supplies members of TU Darmstadt and residents of South Hesse with printed and digital literature, as well as information about research, teaching and degree programmes. The library also offers a wide-ranging cultural programme with exhibitions, lectures and readings.

Since it was established in February 2016, the Art Forum has gained a national reputation for its innovative and surprising exhibition ideas. Themed exhibitions and presentations by contemporary artists offer an inspiring gateway to modern art.

Botanic Garden

With around 8000 plant species from all five continents, the Botanic Garden is well-known even outside Darmstadt as a focal point for plant and garden lovers and those who simply want to relax.

University swimming pool

Originally built in 1928, the university swimming pool on Lichtwiese was completely renovated in 2011 and is a popular place for sport and leisure. The heated pool has a consistent water temperature of 23° C. For the little ones, there is the “frog pool” beside it.

Successful communication happens when there is direct interaction with experts. That’s why academics are the most important communicators at TU Darmstadt. They take a partner-like approach to engagement with others. The idea is for academia and society to seamlessly integrate with each other, in an active process of xchange.
