About me

Hey there! I’m Arya and I’m a master’s student in Tropical Hydrogeology and Environmental Engineering at TU Darmstadt. I’ve always been passionate about innovation, teamwork, Start-up work environments and how to keep nature safe and sustainable. These elements form the main topics for our master’s programme and they match my ambitions and goals for the future. This ultimately encouraged me to apply for the programme at TU Darmstadt, whose home is also known as the “city of science”.

Arya,
M.Sc. Tropical Hydrogeology and Environmental Engineering

One of the amazing places that I need to visit is the "Waldspirale" with it’s unique architecture style. One amazing fact about it is that it has more than 1000 windows but none of them have the same size as the other one. Wowww!

Why I chose TU Darmstadt:

Great employability rank, High quality of education and specialized modules and a chance to study an English subject.

What I like about Darmstadt:

Darmstadt is a city of future, innovation, young aged city and beautiful places to chill.

Fun fact about me:

I love playing video games but I hate losing so much!

My favourite motto:

Lost time is never found again!

Funny stories from my Student life:

This funny story at TU Darmstadt goes back to the first days that I was just enrolled at the University. I remember that one day I had a class at another department located at Lichtwiese campus and I was trying to look for the building. I stopped at the bus stop and went into the building that was right in front of the library, which turned out to be the refectory (“Mensa”) and I asked one of the staff in their white uniform there: “Entschuldigung. Wo kann ich die Klassennummer 302 hier finden?” (Excuse me, where can I find class room 302 in this building?)

Which places I’ve always wanted to visit in Darmstadt, but still have not:

I’ve tried to visit as many places as I knew in Darmstadt with my friends like Herrngarten, Mathildenhöhe, Rosenhöhe, Staatstheater, Bürgerpark, Merck-Stadion and other such places that you would not believe exist in Darmstadt. Still, one of the amazing places that I need to visit is “Waldspirale” with it’s unique architecture style. One amazing fact about it is that it has more than 1000 windows, but none of them have the same size as the other one. Wowww!

What makes me happy:

Playing video-games but not every kind will energize me and make me active (kinda), Riding the bicycle in the woods with friends, Hiking has always been my point of interest and makes me relaxed and satisfied and going out with friends chatting, making fun of one another, doing crazy stuff, cooking delicious and tasty foods or smoothies etc.

Three words that describe me:

Open-minded as far as possible, Honest with others and Passionate about Entrepreneurship.

Challenges that I face during my Studies:

Stress of exams was undoubtedly one! Especially as a foreign student not familiar with the exam procedure in Germany. International culture and people’s behaviors and learning German language besides studies.
