Registration as a Doctoral Candidate
For all persons wanting to do a doctorate at TU Darmstadt, registration as doctoral candidate is optional and possible all year without any deadlines – if all required documents are submitted.
If you wish to register for doctoral studies, please apply for a position as doctoral candidate in the appropriate department of TU Darmstadt first. Then, you will have to hand in your letter of acceptance and certified and translated copies of your Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees and the printed application form at the office for International Admission.
If you do not yet have your letter of acceptance from the respective department, you can register as “Student without degree” for the maximum duration of two semesters. There has to be a written acceptance of supervision from a doctoral supervisor. Please submit your acceptance of supervision, certified translations of your Bachelor’s and Master’s certificates, and the application form in printed form to the International Admission office.
