Interactive features in online surveys
Online Surveys are time efficient and cost saving as compared to face-to-face interviews of telephone surveys. However, several evaluations of have demonstrated that that the absence of an interviewer in online surveys may lead to lower quality answer provided by respondents. This was in part explained by the reduced interactive character of filling in an online survey. Accordingly, several attempts were made to incorporate interactive features in online surveys, either system initiated, user initiated or mixed initiated.
We invite students from around the world to join our group and to contribute to the development of such interactive features. We offer the opportunity to jointly develop experimental studies in the field and in the laboratory and to analyze the resulting data under the supervision of an experienced researcher.
