Lottery procedure

You did not receive admission to the desired degree programme in the selection procedure? Then the lottery procedure still offers a chance for admission even for those who had not previously applied for this admission-restricted degree programme.

If places are still available or become available again after completion of the allocation procedure, we allocate them by lottery. Grade and waiting time do not play a role here; all applicants drawn by lot have the same chances.

Application for the first semester

The application for participation in the lottery procedure for a first semester is only possible online. The deadline will be announced here in due course.

Please do not send in informal lottery applications, as these cannot be considered!

A lottery procedure is not carried out in all subjects with restricted admission; this depends on the number of free or vacant study places.

Applicants drawn by lot will be informed by e-mail and via corresponding documents in their application account; rejections will not be sent out.

Application for a higher semester

Here you have to apply informally (e.g. by postcard) to participate in the lottery procedure. Please include the following information with your informal application:

First name, surname, postal address, e-mail, desired degree programme with indication of the semester.

Please do not submit any other application documents. If a lottery procedure is carried out, you will receive the notification of admission by post with information on any documents required.
