Dialogue-oriented Service Procedure (DoSV) at TU Darmstadt for the winter semester

  • Please register at Hochschulstart and create a BID and BAN.
  • You can apply for 6 DoSV degree programs via Hochschulstart. At TU Darmstadt, these are the following Bachelor's programs in the 1st semester.
  • Information about the application period can be found here.
  • Call up the application portal TUCaN of the TU Darmstadt. Information on how to create an account can be found here .
  • After logging in, select “My application” in the left menu. You will now be directed to the start page of the application portal. There you must first answer the initial questions. Answer the initial questions conscientiously, as subsequent corrections are no longer possible! Then select your desired subject from the range of degree programmes offered. ´
  • Information on the further application process can be found here.
  • You can view your current application status at any time in TUCaN.
  • Log in to the Hochschulstart portal. If you have submitted several applications, put them in order. Put your desired university in first place. Please note that prioritizing your applications is extremely important.
  • After the application deadline you can receive offers of admission. If you have received an offer from TU Darmstadt, you can accept this offer in the Hochschulstart portal. In the following days, you will receive an e-mail when your notification has been made available online in the application portal of the TU Darmstadt. If you accept an offer, the procedure is finished for you. All other offers and applications are automatically cancelled!
  • If you do not receive an offer from your first prioritized university at first, you can wait until the end of the coordination phase. Please note that only the highest prioritized offer will remain. Once there is only one application left open and it has an offer, you will be automatically admitted there. This also happens if you have received an offer of admission at your priority 1, this will automatically give you admission there as all other offers of admission have been cancelled. Please remember to always prioritize your applications according to your wishes!
  • If you have received an admission from the TU Darmstadt, please print out your letter of acceptance in the application portal TUCaN, sign it and send it to the given address within the stated weekly deadline (declarations of acceptance received by e-mail will not be accepted). It is essential that you observe the deadline stated in the notification!
  • Furthermore, you will be shown which documents you have to submit for enrollment. The deadline for submitting the documents is the date stated in your admission letter.
  • If you have not received an offer of admission by the end of the coordination period, you will receive rejection letters for your applications.
  • Then you can still apply for a degree programme by lottery at the TU Darmstadt, provided that there are still places available in your desired study programme and a lottery procedure is carried out.
