Cut-off deadline

A cut-off deadline always exists if the end of the application deadline falls on 15.01. (summer semester) or 15.07. (winter semester) and this date is marked with an * star on the Application Deadlines page .

What does cut-off period mean?

  • By the end of this period, your online application must have the status “sent”.
  • If a postal application and the submission of documents are required for your application, the application and the documents must be received by TU Darmstadt by the end of this deadline. You will find out whether a postal application and documents are required for your application during the creation of your online application. .
    • The date of the postmark is not decisive, but the actual receipt at TU Darmstadt.
    • Consider postal delivery times, especially for registered mail.
    • Applications submitted after this deadline shall be excluded from the procedure.
  • For some degree programmes, registration at hochschulstart.de for participation in the „Dialogue-oriented Service Procedure is additionally required for an application for the winter semester by the end of this deadline. You can find an overview of these degree programmes here.
