Master of Science in Energy Science and Engineering graduates work at the interface of technical understanding, engineering-oriented application and social responsibility of energy-relevant projects.

Having acquired extensive expertise in the field of energy, energy scientists are able to approach the respective issues in university research as well as in administrative positions in governmental and non-governmental organisations. As the energy industry plays a significant role in the 21st century, job opportunities in industry or industry-oriented research and development as well as in consulting and assessment are increasing.

For this reason it is important to start early in the degree programme to gain practical work experience in relevant organisations. In this way students can promote themselves as competent professionals in practice and make important professional contacts. The likelihood of finding a good position is definitely heightened if the student is flexible when it comes to commuting or even moving abroad.
