Application deadlines and admission procedures for Master's programmes

On this page you will find the application deadlines and admission procedures for all Master’s programmes. Please also note the information on Bachelor's and Teaching degree programmes.

The application process for a place in Master’s study programme takes a long time (approx. 6-8 weeks) from receipt of your application to the admission decision. Each application must be reviewed by the respective department (verification of admission requirements).

We therefore recommend that you apply as early as possible to ensure timely enrolment in the case of admission.

It is possible to apply without having your Bachelor's degree certificate.

If you receive an admission for the winter semester, you have until 1. September of the following year to submit your Bachelor’s degree certificate. For the summer semester, the deadline is until the 1. March of the following year.

The respective application deadlines for the individual degree programs are published on these pages in May of each year for the winter semester and in November of the previous year for the summer semester.

* The closing date for applications is 15.01.2025; this date is a cut-off period.
Cut-off deadlines apply equally to external and internal applicants. You can tell if there is a cut-off deadline by the * after the date.
