All new employees at TU Darmstadt are invited to the welcome event. When starting a new job, many questions arise, whether you are joining a department, a directorate of the University Administration or one of the Central Services. In addition to receiving onboarding training in your own area of work, the main focus is on getting an overview of the University as a whole and meeting other colleagues.

Welcome day for newly appointed professors

Once a year, the Executive Board invites all newly appointed professors to the so-called dies academicus. In this context, experts from various organisational units of the University Administration, Central Services , and others provide information about what support and services they offer. In addition, there will be opportunities to engage in exclusive discussions with the Executive Board and to talk to colleagues from the professorial staff.
