Description
The degree programme places the text as the object of analysis at the centre of applied linguistics, which deals with communicative challenges in everyday professional life. This includes, in particular, communication with the public in various professional contexts (such as the press and media, politics and administration, business and science). The degree programme therefore teaches theoretical approaches and methodological skills from text and writing studies as well as discourse and variety linguistic insights into the textual worlds of various social fields of activity. In addition to the fundamentally research-oriented focus of the degree programme, various modules focus specifically on practical experience and testing.
