Graduates from Molecular Biotechnology typically go on to research careers in the chemical industry or at a university. For this reason it makes sense for holders of Bachelor’s degrees to go to do a Master’s degree. The Master of Science in Biomolecular Engineering – Molekulare Biotechnologie is designed to train bioengineers and molecular biotechnologists who can successfully meet various challenges in their future careers. Graduates may take up careers in industry, for example, or in research institutes (e.g. research, development and production in the pharmaceutical or biotechnological industry, or in the food industry), or engage in research as part of a doctoral program.

Students of Biomolecular Engineering – Molekulare Biotechnologie will acquire a broad foundation in the natural sciences in the initial semesters and be confronted with various interdisciplinary issues. It therefore makes sense for Bachelor degree holders to choose to do a Master’s degree in any of the related science departments.
