Description

The Master of Science Elektrotechnik und Informationstechnik degree programme is the second stage of the two-tier Bachelor’s/Master’s system and follows on directly from the B.Sc. (etit) . It leads to a Master of Science degree which is equivalent to the traditional title of “Diplom-Ingenieur”.

The research-related Master’s programme will extend your knowledge of the focus area you chose in your Bachelor’s programme. Application-oriented contents will constitute a core feature. By integrating students in ongoing research the programme’s emphasis on practical applications is increased. The following focus areas are available:

Automation Technology (AUT), Computational Methods in Electrical Engineering (CMEE), Data Technology (DT), Electrical Energy Technology (EET), Communication Technology and Sensor Systems (KTS), Sensors, Actuators and Electronics (SAE), Distributed Autonomous Systems (VAS) or General Electrical Engineering (AET).

Semesters 4
Language German. Individual courses can be offered in English.
Start of studies Winter semester recommended; start of studies in summer semester possible without study guarantee

Admission requirements 1. A degree B.Sc. Elektrotechnik und Informationstechnik of TU Darmstadt (reference programme) or an equivalent degree.
2. Passed Entrance requirements verification in accordance with the Competences description.
Admission procedure Provided that the admission requirements (entrance examination) are met, there are no numerical admission restrictions.
