Due to the increasing digitalisation and networking of economic processes, the education of students in the field of innovative ability – especially in areas of high technology – is gaining in importance. The research-oriented Master's programme “Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management” starts at this point and aims to provide students with the skills they need to start their own business or manage innovations in established companies.

The programme offers a wide range of areas of specialisation.

1. a “Bachelor of Science” degree from the programmes B.Sc. Business Administration/Industrial Engineering of Technical University of Darmstadt or an equivalent degree, for example Economics or Business Mathematics.

Upon successful completion of a Master of Science degree, there is the opportunity to begin working towards a Ph.D. either at the Technical University of Darmstadt or at another national or international university: Ph.D. at Technical University of Darmstadt

In addition to the teaching of methodological knowledge, great importance is attached to a scientifically sound education based on the latest findings of entrepreneurship and innovation research. Possible professional fields include the foundation and management of an own growing company as well as work in industrial and commercial enterprises, in management consultancies or in associations. Graduates will be enabled to work in the management and promotion of the innovation capability of organisations, in the control and optimisation of innovation processes in companies or in the management of innovation centres. At the same time, the Master's programme lays the foundation for research-oriented work in scientific or public institutions or in research and development.
