Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen — technische Fachrichtung Bauingenieurwesen, B.Sc.
All Business Engineering degree programs at the Technical University of Darmstadt are defined by their distinct interdisciplinary nature. They contain parts of both Business Studies (Business Administration and Economics) and Law on the one hand, and Engineering on the other to nearly the same extent.
The Bachelor’s degree programs in Business Engineering focus on a smaller scale on the engineering area of specialization than the non-business Engineering programs. With respect to their technical field of studies, the students of Business Engineering otherwise attend the same courses as the students enrolled in the corresponding purely technical Bachelor’s programs.
The programme is located at the interface of Business Studies and Civil Engineering. Courses from these two areas make up the largest part of the studies. Furthermore, the programme includes modules from the areas of Mathematics and Legal Studies.
General note: With the Bachelor of Science degree, students acquire a first degree qualifying them for a profession. However, at the Technical University of Darmstadt the Master of Science is the standard degree. Therefore it is recommended that students complete a Master's programme.
